If there is any group of Nigerians that requires commendation by the government and other fellow citizens, it has to be this group that are putting their money together to encourage professionalism in our security agents.
Out of willingness, these 143 Nigerians (and others who may still contribute before the closing of the window this afternoon) are putting their hard-earned Nairas together just to encourage an armed police officer who excise restrain even at a time when he was completely pushed to the wall with his AK-47 rifle in his hand.
Just like other Nigerians are saying 'thank you' to the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Erhator Sunday for been calm during the unnecessary challenge from the unscrupulous driver in Lagos, these 143 Nigerians have already contributed over 800,000 naira in their own little ways of encouraging ASP Erhator Sunday.
According to Ugo Egbujo, one of the originators of the initiative on his Facebook page some moments ago, the said amount was what was realized as at 12am this morning. He said, the bank account which is receiving the donation will be kept open to contributors until 12 pm this afternoon.
Ugo Egbujo, the popular Facebook user also states in the Facebook post that, any amount realize before 12pm today will be given to the abused police officer in the commissioner of police's office in Lagos.
He pleaded with Nigerians to help make the amount a round figure (N1,000,000.00) before that time. Check out the Facebook post from Ugo Egbujo on the donation below:
What do you have to say about these people who are encouraging our security agents using their personal resources? Don't you think they are the real patriotic citizens of the country at the moment?
