Edo 2020: Why Edo electorate may not cast their votes for Gov. Godwin Obaseki

Day by day, new facts are unraveling about the People Democratic Party (PDP) and her governorship candidate, Gov. Godwin Obaseki. His recent defection into the People Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed so many secrets about the governor and his ambition in seeking re-election in Edo state.

In the last few weeks when Gov. Godwin Obaseki freshly defected from the All Progressive Congress (APC) into the People Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressive Congress (APC) raised the alarm about how he used Edo’s money to get the People Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket. Gov. Nyesome Wike of Rivers State complemented this fact when he called the People Democratic Party (PDP) elders “Tax Collectors”.

Also the recent closeness of the current governor of Edo State who is also the governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming election with a former governor of the state who has once been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) for money laundering and corruption, Gov. Lucky Igbinedion. This and others might make Edo electorates not to vote for Gov. Godwin Obaseki for the second term.
