SURVIVAL FUNDS : FG sends new caution message to those applying for the supports

Federal Government has sent a word of caution to those who might have picked interest in the ongoing Payroll Support Scheme application started on Monday 21st September.

The government through its official Twitter handle had earlier announced activation of the portal for registration of intending beneficiaries of the Payroll Support Scheme initiative to assist educational institutions against the economic effects of the pandemic that had destroyed the economic situation in the country.

Portal for registration of hospitality industry beneficiaries would be opened on Friday 25th September.

But Since, Nigerians that are interested have been visiting the site to register their schools as beneficiaries.

But some unscrupulous Nigerians have introduced a strange twist to the registration process demanding that intending beneficiaries pay a facilitation fee to be able to benefit from the grants.

Speaking through the Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Investment, Mrs Mariam Katagum, FG debunked the false payment demands.

Mrs Katagum said the Federal Government of Nigeria would not have asked for any facilitation fee to give the support grants to Nigerians it intended to support.

She therefore urged the public to be cautious in dealing with fraudulent people who might be out to swindle them of their monies.

So , to register, all you need is access to computer and internet, and your required documents .

Stay away from fraudsters. Keep yourself safe.
