The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in last general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has met with the standard flagbearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in Bayelsa State yesterday.
The two political gladiators met at the burial ceremony of the father of the Governor of Bayelsa State, Pa. Abraham Diri.

Also at the event are former Presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke of Osun State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party, Iyorchia Ayu among others.
Recall that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi were defeated by the former Governor of Lagos State and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last presidential election.
The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic party however claimed that the election results declared by the electoral umpire were manipulated in favour of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and they have gone to court to challenge the presidential election results. Meanwhile, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be sworn in on the 29th of May, 2023 after the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.
