The governor of the Benue state, Samuel Ortom, has stated that he is ready to assist Bola Ahmed Tinubu in any way before he is sworn in as the president of the country. Governor Samuel Ortom, a PDP supporter himself, stated on an Arise News program that he will keep praying for Bola Tinubu because it is in the best interests of the country.
The governor said that when he said he would pray for Tinubu and support him in his bid to succeed as president, he had argued for the presidency to move to the south in order to promote equality, justice, and fairness.
To ensure fairness, equity, and justice, he said, "I can be PDP and still work for this country's interests.". In other words, even if Tinubu is sworn in as this country's president tomorrow, I will continue to pray for him and be his supporter. Let the litigation continue since it will benefit the democratic process. It would be true to say that Samuel Ortom actively backed the candidate for president of the labor party in the previous election.
