Houses Burnt In Another Communal Clash
Many houses were razed in Erin-Osun and Ilobu towns following the communal clash between the two towns over land dispute.
No fewer than two persons were reportedly killed while many sustained bullet injuries during the attack.
Also, many houses were set ablaze and residents fled their homes, leaving their belongings behind to avoid being killed.
Suspected Gunmen Strike Again
Gunmen have attacked a family travelling to Enugu State from Lagos State to bury a dead family member, kidnapping the younger brother of the deceased who was in the ambulance.
According to Vanguard, the family, whose name could be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, was attacked while the ambulance was badly damaged.
Buratai Speaks On Ambassadorial Appointment
The immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd.), has said he performed well as the COAS.
He also said he owed no one explanations over his appointment as a non-career ambassador.
Buratai spoke with journalists at a special gala night organised by members of the 29th Regular Course Association of the Nigerian Defence Academy in Abuja, on Saturday.

Tanko Yakasai, a former aide to ex-President Shehu Shagari, has said Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President have what it takes to govern Nigeria.
Yakasai said both Tinubu and Atiku have the requisite experience and capacity to become Nigeria’s President in 2023.
In a chat with DAILY POST, the elder statesman, however, pointed out that Nigeria needs a president who can ensure unity, address the issue of unemployment, and other challenges facing the country.
