An Open Letter To Gov. Hope Uzodinma, Governor Of Imo State [Opinion]

Dear sir,

I write to you in view of the happenings in Imo State at the moment. As an Imolite, I can state that you may not have totally failed Imolites in fulfilling some of the promises, made to Imolites. However, it is clear that many Imolites are yet to warm up to you and your style of leadership.

It is in place, to truly commend you for continuing some of the projects, started by the past government, however, I must not fail to state that Imolites are disenchanted with the Imo government, over the non-payment of many Civil Servants and pensioners. These people weep on a daily basis, because news reports say one thing, while the reality says another.

A large percentage of Imolites are either civil servants or pensioners and my heart breaks at the thought of how these ones fared, during the national lockdown. Even now, it goes without saying that many civilians servants and pensioners, are in debt and knowing where their next meal will come from, may be as difficult as a puzzle, for them and we ask that you intervene.

As regards, the political climate in Imo State, we humbly opine that you respect, the Federal High Court's decision that would be made on the July 20, regardless of how it goes, as no one is truly above the Law. We celebrate the much you have done in Imo State.

From a concerned Imolite.

God bless you.

God bless Imo State!

Dear fellow Nigerians, what is your take on the issues discussed?
