Rivers state governor, Gov. Nyesom Wike came out to accuse President Muhammadu Buhari administration of failing woefully in discharging his duties to all Nigerians. He then went further to explain why it would be wrong to hold state governors accountable for the grievous act of insecurity in the country.
Governor Wike didn't just accuse the Buhari-led administration of a failed regime, he went further to accuse the leadership of borrowing funds from foreign nations like China, the United States, and others.
He said that he would never go to the Presidential Villa at Aso Rock to visit the president like the other governors do when they need his help over one problem or the other.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, 15 of June, governor Wike made a statement during an inauguration of a road project at "Etche" Local Government Area at Rivers State. He blamed the president for shifting the responsibility of protecting the country to the governors.
The governor who is a member of the People's Democratic Party has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari's administration. Categorizing it as one that lacks strategy to bring the country together in peace and harmony.
The spokesman for Gov. Wike, Kelvin Ebiri quoted the governor in his speech that the President lacks the idea and technique to restore peace throughout the country. He likewise highlighted that some governors from the All Progressive Party (APC) have formed the habit of running to the president for help when they're faced with challenges in their states.
