Popular Nigerian Activist and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has once again spoken. This time around, the outspoken Nigerian politician took to one of his social media pages and gave his own opinion regarding the recent activities of bandits in the Northern part of Nigeria; as well as the trials of Nnamdi Kanu.
Reno Omokri who appeared pained that bandits are still being tagged as 'bandits' despite their criminal activities, noted that on July 18, 2021, they shot down an airforce fighter jet with missiles and on October 20, 2021, they also shot at a train and bombed rail tracks.
Reno Omokri went on to say that despite all of this, our attention is on the embattled leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, stating categorically that Nigeria is not a serious nation.
Though many may beg to differ, Reno Omokri's concern should not be overlooked. Nnamdi Kanu is currently undergoing trials over alleged acts of treasonable felony amongst others, but that should not stop Nigerians from seeing the truth in this.
Instead of going after Nnamdi Kanu with their might, the Nigerian Government should at the very least treat these bandits like the terrorists that they are, and not a man who is agitating for self determination.
