Enugu APC Chairman, Ben Nwoye was live on channels TV few hours ago and he said that Buhari Government didn't create insecurity, they inherited it and this is why people need to come together and look for a solution. Nwoye said that for many years now, the leadership of this country have not done much in terms of security personnels with the growth of the nation, adding that they can't just wake up one day and declare state of emergency, recruit more personnels and buy more weapons. He said that insecurity started for long and Buhari government inherited it.
In his words;
"When we look at what is happening in this country, we must come together, it isn't a partisan approach. This is not the time we make provocative statements, we have a country approaching 200 million people and when I checked goggle, we have around 300, 000 police men which is extremely bad. Over the years, developmental planners and politicians watched the population grow and they did little or nothing about security."
"We can't wake up one day and say declare a state of emergency, and we do all the recruiting today and then we buy more weapons. This thing started for long, Buhari government inherited it. Buhari and APC government did not create Boko Haram or kidnappings, they were in existence before Buhari came into power."
