Babajide Otitoju Revealed What Buhari’s New Service Chiefs Did To Boko Haram Insurgents In Borno After They Assume Duty.
The New Service Chiefs that have been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari appears to be recording huge successes in the battle to reclaim the north east of Nigeria from the hands of Boko Haram insurgents.
The service chiefs who upon assumption of office didn't waste time to visit Borno State to familiarize themselves with the environment, have already begun to give the insurgents tough time.
Popular Nigerian Journalist, Babajide Otitoju took to his Facebook page on Monday to share an update of how the Nigerian troops under the new service killed about 11 members of the insurgents including their commander around Pulka-Gwoza highway in Borno State.
According to Babajide Otitoju who appears to be pleased with the new service chiefs disclosed that the incident happened on the 30th of January 2021, few days after they resumed work.
He also mentioned the name of two BH commanders that were killed as Ali Bor and Maleum Mudu.
Meanwhile there have been mixed feelings about the achievement recorded by the new service chiefs. See how some Nigerian are reacting below.
On the 30th of January, 2021. Nigerian troops of Operation "TURA TAKAI BANGO", an arm of Operation Lafiya Dole killed 11 #BH fighters including two top commanders, Ali Bor and Maleum Modu, around Pulka-Gwoza highway in Borno State." he said.
The veteran broadcasters went further to urge the new military heads not to relax by making sure they finish the insurgents completely.
" Crush them, exterminate them. New service chiefs, new impetus." he said.
The Army should recall officers who have been on the battlefront for up to 6 months back home and deploy new soldiers to the battlefield, soldiers been on battle field for too long is not good for morale, the old ones need time with their family as well.
