Kogi West senator and official spokesperson of the Atiku-Okowa presidential campaign council, Dino Melaye has made fresh accusations of impending violence by the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kogi State.
He made this allegation in a tweet on Thursday, in which he shared a video of the said gunmen preparing to cause violence during the elections. Senator Melaye went on to recall how killings and violence heralded the last election, urging security agencies to speedily investigate the recent boasting by the Kogi Governor to cause violence.
He wrote, "This is allegedly the militia that the Kogi State Government is preparing for the election. Everyone will recall the killings and violence that heralded the last election. The Governor has been seen in various videos boasting of violence. Security Agencies over to you."

Recall that the Director New Media of the Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign council, Femi Fani Kayode had also made similar claims about the PDP flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, when he said the latter was plotting a coup with military generals. FFK was eventually detained and grilled by the DSS, after which he apologised for not verifying before making utterances.
