Governor Oyetola Sends Message To All Muslims As Ramadam Commences

Owen State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has sent a greeting message to all Muslim brothers and sisters as they commence Ramadan fasting. 

He urged the Muslim Brothers and sisters to obey the COVID-19 protocols as they go about their activities in this holy month. He urged the believers to use the period of Ramadan to pray for a better Nigeria and seek strength in their commitment to serving humanity.


PDP allegedly generates over N356m from sale of forms of Anambra Gubernatorial election

Ahead of the November 6 Gubernatorial election of Anambra State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has hinted that it generated the sum of N356m from the sales of forms to its aspirants.

The Aspirants are made up of 3 women and 13 men and are yet to face the party's Committee that would screen all of them for the November 6 Gubernatorial election.


The party stated that the expression form cost 1 million naira, the compliance of the form cost 5 million naira and the nomination form cost about 20 million naira. This means that each of the 16 candidates paid the sum of 26 million naira each


Ballot Box Should Decide Winners Of Elections, Not Court – Goodluck Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has revealed how Political office holders showed be elected into office. He made it known that the importance and value of Election are to elect qualified candidates into office and the Nigerian courts should not be involved in the process.

He said the body in charge of the election is responsible for the conduct of the Election as well as the outcome of Elections and therefore, the courts should not be involved in the process.

He made references to different court cases that have given the mandate to the candidate of a party since Nigeria returned to Democracy. He said The judiciary has helped some people who don't deserve to be in the office to become the leader or head of state but things shouldn't be done like that because for a country to fully attain its democratic status, Election Should be won through the ballot boxes and not the court.
