Igbos are divided? Read this, if you think that Igbos don't love each other or that they are divided

Igbos are lovely people and they are among the three most populous ethnic groups in Nigeria today. The live in the south eastern part of Nigeria. Igbos are loving and caring, and that is the main reason why they can travel any where and live with the indigenous people of that place peacefully without any problem. But what baffles me now is that I do hear most people say that Igbos are not united the way other tribes are or that Igbos don't live each other. That is not true, and I stand against that statement.

I can stand and tell you categorically that Igbos love themselves more than anyone can even think of. Let me clarify what I meant here. If you have one Igbo millionaire today, give him five to ten years, he will produce another 4 millionaires or more. Tell me, without love, will he be able to do it? The answer is NO! Go to Alaba international market, Onitsha main market, Mandilas or trade fair market and see things for your self. You will see how Igbos men and women are helping each other. Which love is greater than that one?

A story came up earlier this month about an Igbo man from Anambra State who was detained in a foreign country, he cried out and asked his people to come to his aid, what happened at last? His people rallied around, gathered money and brought him out from captivity. After someone will come out and tell me that Igbos are not united or that they don't love each other.

Let us go political now, starting from 1999 when this present democracy we are practicing today returned, I don't think there is any tribe that have voted more united than the Igbos. An Igbo man might not have been opportune to become a president of this country, but they always vote in a United way.

Let's start from 1999, when the first general election was held. In 1999, over 80 percent of Igbos votes for ex President Olusegun Obasanjo, thesame thing happened in 2003. Then in 2007, the did thesame for late Umaru Yar'Adua. Then came 2011, they all voted for ex President Jonathan. In 2015, they all voted for Jonathan who eventually lost, then came 2019, they voted massively for Atiku Abubakar. For me, I don't think there is any tribe that is United politically and otherwise more than Igbos.

I made this article to notify people that Igbos love themselves so much and they are more united now than ever before.
