It's quite obvious to most political elites that Bukola Saraki and Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq are not on the same page politically. You will recollect that political tragedy befell Bukola Saraki due to the movement of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as Kwara state governor in the year 2019. However, the capacity of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as the incumbent governor of Kwara state cannot be underrated as he happens to be the most powerful office holder in the state. This is to say that other politicians from the state are subjected to his authority due to the office he occupies presently. However, Bukola Saraki on the other hand has been a very strong politician in the state in previous years, and for him to gain relevancy back, he needs to be submissive to his state governor.
For Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to forgive and grants Bukola Saraki's request, below are two things he is expected to do;
- Loyalty: there is a popular saying that there is no permanent enemy or friend in politics, what always remains permanent is interest. This is to say that the fact that Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Bukola Saraki did not align in terms of interest in the year 2019 does not mean that they can become political enemies forever. All that is needed from Bukola Saraki is just to pay the due of loyalty to Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq so as to revive his stake and relevancy in the state politics. Furthermore, you will recollect that the political dilemma of Bukola Saraki started in Kwara state, hence for him to correct his mistakes he needs to go back to Kwara and pay homage to the present leadership, so as to further propel his political course be it locally or nationally.
- Decamp to APC: the present political party of Bukola Saraki is PDP, whereas that of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is APC. You will agree with me once again that the ruling party in Nigeria as at today is APC, hence Bukola Saraki can decamp to APC just like he did in the year 2015. His decamping process will be such that will enable him and his state governor to be on the same page, which will in return make it easy for him to easily get commitment from the governor as they will belong to the same camp other than their present political stand.
2023 election is an opportunity for Bukola Saraki to get himself activated back to Kwara politics, and with the 2 stated points above, there are certainties that his capacity can be reactivated and he will be in the political limelight again.
