The Federal Lawmaker from Anambra State, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has said that people from Southeast are badly treated. He said this during an interview with Channels Television that is being aired live, as he insisted that a Senator of Southeast extraction is still the best person to occupy the seat of the Senate President.
When the presenter, Seun Okinbaloye asked him to react to what David Umahi did by stepping down for God'swill Akpabio and endorsing him as his consensus candidate for Senate Presidency, Ifeanyi Ubah said the way South-East people are treated in the country is bad, adding that it is becoming a normal thing for people to always abuse Southeasterners. Speaking further, he said people from Southeast should not be treated as nobody in the country.
In his words, he said:
"We came to the National Assembly from different platforms and we (South-East) should not be treated as nobody. It is becoming a normal thing for people to always abuse those from South-East."
