Obiageli Ezekwesili is a Public Analyst/Senior Economic Advisor, AEDPI, Nigerian chartered accountant from Anambra state. She is popularly known as "Oby Ezekwesili".
Ezekwesili holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She studied International Law and Diplomacy for her Masters degree from the University of Lagos, as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Ezekwesili started off in the Olusegun Obasanjo administration as the pioneer head of the Budget Monitoring and Price Intelligence Unit. She was the Chairperson of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI). In 2006, Ezekwesili was appointed the Federal Minister of Education and she held the post until she took up a World Bank appointment in May 2007.
Obiageli Ezekwesili is married to Chinedu Ezekwesili and together they have children. Chinedu Ezekwesili is an ordained man of God of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
