I Am Yet To Received A Letter Of Invitation From EFCC - Peter Obi

Former Governor of Anambra state,Peter Obi has said he is yet to receive an invitation letter from the Economic and Financial crimes commission (EFCC).

He said he will honour the invitation of the anti graft agency once he receives a letter to that effect.

Obi had said through a statement on Monday titled : l have not made any statement on EFCC's invitation and was signed by his spokesman - Valentine Obienyem.

He also stated that he has not made any statement on his invitation by the EFCC over the pandora papers.

In leaked files by an online media platform,Obi operated a foreign account,which he did not disclose in his asset declaration form provided by the Code of conduct Bureau,being at a time public servant and on the basis of this allegation was summoned through an invitation by the EFCC.

Obi who was the 2019 vice presidential candidate of People's Democratic Party (PDP) said that it is possible that the agency invited him but the letter might have been delivered to an old address.

His response in a statement reads in part;

"From what is circulating,the letter appears to have been sent to an office he is no longer part of and is yet to reach him.Peter Obi is a law abiding Nigerian and would honour all legitimate invitations from government agencies at all times."
