It is no more news that Zamfara State Government in March arrested a member of the Nigerian Military and his girlfriend, for allegedly being a source of supply of ammunitions and military uniforms to bandits.
Meanwhile the Nigerian Military has arrested two soldiers in Zamfara State for allegedly supplying bandits with life ammunitions.
The information was relayed by Premium Times Newspaper with the headline "Nigerian Military speaks on soldiers accused of supplying ammunition, uniforms to bandit"
According to the details of the report, Premium times has it that, the Military Defense Spokesperson, Muhammad Yerima, also disclosed that the military would not allow the activities of what he referred to as bad eggs among its personnel to discredit the institution.
Meanwhile in another development that happened on Friday 16th of April, 2021, the Governor of Zamfara, Bello Matawalle, suspended the district head of of Badarawa in Shinkafi Emirate Council, for conferring a traditional title on a military officer accused of selling ammunitions to bandits.
The governor further disclosed that the soldier was caught with 20 rounds of 62mm live ammunition at the point of delivering to bandits.
