You are the wrong choice Ondo people made - Ajayi replies Akeredolu.

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi on Sunday lashed out at his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for tagging him a wrong choice of deputy.

Ajayi emphasized that the governor was trying to put his frustration on him following the failed attempt to use the state House of Assembly to impeach him as the deputy governor.

On Saturday, Akeredolu had

expressed regret over the choice of Ajayi as his running mate in 2016, despite several warnings which he said he ignored.

The deputy governor who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Babatope Okeowo stated that after allegedly running the state aground, Akeredolu has been casting aspersions on him.

NDDC: Buhari gets ultimatum to remove Akpabio, set up panel.

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to, within 14 days, set up a presidential panel to probe corruption allegations in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The body also asked him to suspend, Godswill Akpabio, Niger Delta Minister and all those implicated.

Victims played with grenade before explosion – Katsina police.

The five siblings who died during a bomb explosion on Saturday at Yammama village in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State played with military grenade on a farmland, the police have said.

According to the police preliminary investigation, the five victims alongside six injured others found the grenade while working on the farm.

The Spokesman for Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, made this known in a statement on Saturday night.

He said experts from the police explosives unit were already on the farm for further findings.

He said, “Investigation revealed that the children picked a military grenade and were fiddling with it and as a result of which it exploded.

NNPC suffers 47% drop in petrol sales revenue.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation saw its revenue from petrol sales plunge by 47.38 per cent to N107.61bn in April as supply dropped amid the coronavirus lockdown and the reduction in the pump price of the product.

The Petroleum Products Marketing Company is principally engaged in the supply and marketing of refined petroleum products to the marketers/retailers on behalf of the NNPC.

Benue State Government has reacted to calls for pension intervention by a group identified as Benue Renaissance Network.

Osun records four new COVID-19 cases.

Osun State has recorded four new cases of coronavirus and discharged eleven other patients, following their recovery.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, disclosed this in a statement titled: ‘COVID-19 Update: Osun records 4 new cases, discharges 11,’ made available to newsmen on Sunday.
