The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has described the murder of Nassarawa State Chairman of the party, Philip Shekwo as unforgivable wickedness. While decrying the death of Shekwo who was killed earlier, the Chairman of Ondo State APC, lamented and said the unchecked manner with which gunmen commit their nefarious acts.
While imploring security agencies to unmask the heartless murderers, the party chieftain called for concerted efforts to ensure a more secured society for all Nigerians. Adetimehin in a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, regretted that the Forum of APC State Chairmen has been permanently denied Shekwo’ kindness, experience in party politics and intelligent contributions during party meetings.
While praying for the repose of his soul, Adetimehin encouraged the immediate family and love ones of the departed and Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to resort to divine solace at “this trying period.”
As President Muhammadu Buhari, administration which continues to roll out schemes aimed at bringing relief to businesses and individuals across different sectors, a cross-section of beneficiaries of the Payroll Support scheme are excited at the receipt of N30, 000 and N50, 000 alerts of salaries under the MSMEs Survival Fund. According to the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr. Laolu Akande, he said so far, 101,567 employees from 16,250 businesses have received their first monthly payment from the Survival Fund’s Payroll Support Scheme.
The scheme was designed to help vulnerable MSMEs by paying the salaries of their staff for a period of 3 months because of the vulnerabilities caused by the Corona-virus pandemic. Akande noted and said that verification is still ongoing as the payroll support scheme targets supporting 500,000 beneficiaries with payment of up to N50,000 per employee during the duration of 3 months, starting from October. Some beneficiaries across the country has expressed their feelings in randomly selected testimonials collated by the Presidency over the weekend in which they expressed gratitude and gave thanks to Muhammadu Buhari Administration.
