Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has revealed what he believes will happen to Nigeria if President-elect Bola Tinubu takes office on 29 May.
According to Gbadamosi, a strong supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, the world's hatred of Nigerians will double.
He argued on Twitter that Tinubu's conviction on drug charges would further worsen the already deteriorating image of Nigerians.
He defended the informal profiling of Nigerians at foreign airports, adding that countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Turkey have already started doing it.
Gbadamosi further predicted that athletes would be subjected to ever tighter scrutiny and that governments around the world might take steps to distance themselves from Nigeria's culture of corruption.
Similarly, former Anambra State Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife has said that President-elect Bola Tinubu will not be sworn in as President of Nigeria.
Ezeife made the statement after accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of manipulating the electoral process and rigging the presidential and National Assembly elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former Anambra State leader said it was clear that Labour's Peter Obi had won the presidential election nationwide.
