Ahead of the PDP National Convention scheduled for the 30th and 31st of October, 2021, the Party's Screening Sub Committee has disqualified Three Aspirants from the Race, they are Dr. Eddy Olafeso (Ondo State), Okey Muo-Aron (Anambra State) and Professor Wale Oladipo (Osun State) from contesting for the positions of National Publicity Secretary, National Secretary and Deputy National Chairman (South) respectively.
Speaking with Newsmen at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, the Chairman of the National Convention Organising Committee and Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri disclosed that the Three Aspirants were barred from Contesting because they took the party to Court in a move to stop the forthcoming National Convention. He further noted that the actions of the trio was against the PDP Consistution.

With the recent development, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, a Former Federal Lawmaker from Ondo State will stand unopposed as the National Publicity Secretary, while the duo of Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja (Oyo State) and a Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola will slug it out for the position of the Deputy National Chairman (South) in the forthcoming Convention.
