On Thursday, Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, praised Jennifer Efidi, a female voter who was stabbed by political thugs during the Presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday.
While walking to a polling unit in Surulere with her daughter, Edifi was assaulted by suspected thugs attempting to disrupt the electoral process. Despite the brutal attack, images of the determined woman, who received first aid and returned to vote, went viral on social media and were featured on the front pages of major newspapers such as The PUNCH.
According to Adamu, Tinubu’s victory in Saturday’s election could not have been possible without her contribution as well those of security agents and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He said, “We have been through a gruelling experience in the hands of the doomsayers. We have pulled through in one piece and demonstrated once more that fortified by our patriotism and our duty to our nation, we will always give the lie to the doomsayers.
