Photos have emerged, showing the arrival of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and his wife, Emine Erdoğan, in Nigeria. Photos of the event reveal how President Erdoğan and Emine were received by Geoffrey Onyeama and other top government officials.
You may recall that there were reports of President Erdoğan's planned visit to Nigeria. Erdoğan's visit to Nigeria is part of his West Africa diplomacy tour. President Erdoğan had earlier expressed Turkey's willingness to help Nigeria fight against terrorism. His visit is expected to strengthen the Turkey-Nigeria relationship.
Speaking concerning the visit in a statement on Tuesday, President Buhari's aide, Garba Shehu, said, “In the course of the visit, the leaders of the two countries (President Muhammadu Buhari and Tayyip Erdoğan) are expected to consider about two dozen Bilateral Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, MOUs, and they will authorize the signing of those on which there is a concurrence,”
