As the gubernatorial election in Kogi state is barely at the corner, the candidate under the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the state, Ahmed Ododo has claimed that he will be the richest governor in Nigeria when he eventually comes into power.
According to Sahara reporters who shared a video of him talking to some group of people, the preferred choice of candidate by the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello affirmatively noted that he is the richest gubernatorial candidate, among others, and will soon be the richest governor in the country.
He said... "As it stands now, I am the richest candidate as far as the candidates are concerned, and I am going to be the richest governor, as far as this country is concerned"
However, some Nigerians have immediately reacted to such a statement, where one user particularly pointed, inquiring if the gubernatorial candidate needs an award for such declaration.
While there were some who called for Kogi state to be rescued follow such pronouncement, another user who gave his own reaction inquired if he was referring to be rich from the public funds, adding that asset declaration should be a necessity to be published.
Below are photos of some of the reactions. What's your opinion about this statement made? Kindly drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
