Former president Jonathan has been in a closed-door meeting with president Buhari, on Tuesday, according to the Presidency.
President Jonathan handed over to president Buhari in 2015.
Although the Presidency did not release the agenda of the meeting, there are speculations that the meeting might be connected to the state of the nation.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) which reported the meeting said that the agenda of the meeting was not revealed to journalists by the Presidency.
But, NAN, leant that Mr Jonathan may be visiting president Buhari to update Jim on his recent international assignment in Mali.
Mr Jonathan led the mediation team of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Mali’s lingering political crisis.
It was also speculated that that the for former president may use the opportunity to condole with the president over the death of his friend, Ismaila Isa Funtua, who died of cardiac arrest on Monday night.
