Former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria, Chief Femi Fani Kayode a few days ago rejoined the APC after he left the party in 2014. Femi Fani Kayode has been meeting some APC bigwigs after President Buhari welcomed him into the party.

A sign that he will be recognised in the party despite him criticising the party and President Buhari for a long time.
Some of the conditions are that he must return to his ward in Osun State and register as an APC member against his decision to register in FCT, he must unite with APC top politicians in South West including Bisi Akande who is a strong political ally of Tinubu, the Lagos politician who FFK has criticised for a long time, etc.
In my opinion, it is unfair for the APC Governors DG to have given FFK these conditions and we will be discussing why I think so in this article.
1)FFK has met President Buhari who is the leader of the party
For President Buhari to have officially welcomed FFK means that the past is forgotten and that the APC is looking into the future to achieve greater things with FFK. Lukman giving FFK conditions before he can be recognised in the APC is unfair.

The decision of President Buhari to approve that FFK should join the party supersedes any other decision.
2) No other politician that defected to APC was given these conditions
Mai Mala Buni, the caretaker chairman of APC has always maintained that anyone who joins APC will enjoy the rights other members of the party have been enjoying no matter how long they have been in the party.
Why is the case different with FFK? Stella Odua, Peter Nwaoboshi, Bello Matawalle were not given any conditions after they join the party before they can be integrated fully into APC.
The APC Governors Forum DG and other members of the ruling party behind this should remember that FFK was one of the foundation members of APC.

He deserves a soft landing irrespective of what happened in the past.
