Joe Igbokwe Reacts As Fashola Reveals When The Second Niger Bridge Will Be Completed

The Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has revealed that the ongoing Second Niger Bridge is 80% completed and it will be delivered by March 2022.

Fashola said this on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, when his team visited the construction site in Anambra State.

The former governor said he was impressed with the progress of the project and the quality of work done by the contractors.

In reaction to the development, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwoolu on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, said the project is commendable.

He said: "Today, Works & Housing Minister, Raji Fashola, inspected the signature Buhari project, the Second Niger Bridge, and the link roads in Anambra & Delta States.

Work is progressing at a record speed.

The delivery date is still 2022.

The Second Niger Bridge is an elephant project which was started by President Muhammadu Buhari in the South East region about four years ago. The bridge will link the South East with the South-South region when completed.
