OPINION: PDP May Need To Sanction Gov Wike, To Serve As A Deterrent To Other Party Members

During the birthday celebration of the former governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, made an unsavory statement about the PDP National Chairman, Chief Uche Secondus.

Wike called the PDP chairman a liar and also accused him of being the cause of all the trouble faced by the PDP.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), is the biggest opposition party in Nigeria, hence, cohesion is expected from such a formidable party.

In my opinion, Governor Wike could have aired his grievances in a more civil manner. Even more, the PDP has rules and regulations and it is important that sanctions be placed on Gov. Wike, over his recent statement. This would serve as a deterrent to other party members.

Dear Nigerians, what is your take on this delicate issue?

Do you believe that Governor Nyesom Wike acted out of order?
