'Why Bola Tinubu Lost Kano, Kastina, And Kaduna To The Opposition Parties' - FFK

The Former Minister of Aviation and a member of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign council, Femi Fani Kayode has revealed why the APC suffered a huge defeat in the three Northern states in which President Muhammadu Buhari won in 2019 election. The KKK states are often referred to as the key decider in any election in Nigeria but this time around, Asiwaju lost those states and still emerged as a winner.

FFK explaining the cause of their defeat stated that the Northerners had different opinions about giving power back to the South. He alleged there are two faction of people in the North. He explained that one faction supported Atiku while the other faction supported Tinubu. FFK maintained that the agenda for them is to split the Northern votes.

He said, ''We lost Kano, Katsina, and Kaduna because of what happened in the North. In the North, there were two groups. There was a group that believe in power shift and they for me are the Heroes and there was a group that didn't believe in power shift, they believed that power should remain in the group.

Those in the latter group supported Atiku, while the other supported Asiwaju. And it was a great fight, where we lost in the core North the margins were very small. We lost by just a few thousand votes. The fact that we lost does not mean it is the end of the story. If we add all the votes that were gathered in the core North, I suspect strongly that we have more than the PDP managed to gather.''
