3 Things To Know About APC Chairman Expelled For Saying He Wished Osinbajo Replaced Buhari

The ruling All Progressives Congress as a political party in Nigeria is guided by a Constitution which explains the punishment for violation of its rules. 

Members of the ruling party who violated the rules of the party can be punished according to the constitution guiding the party.

According to a report by Daily Post, the ruling All Progressives Congress has expelled one of its chieftains, Sulaiman Adamu from Adamawa State.

The report explained that Adamu was expelled from the party because he allegedly stated that he wished Vice President Yemi Osinbajo can take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the report, there are three important things to know about the APC Chieftain who has been expelled from the party.

Adamu was the Caretaker Chairman of APC in Yola South Local Government Area Of Adamawa State

The Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Sulaiman Adamu who was expelled from the party was the Caretaker Chairman of Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

After the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention of APC expelled him, he has seized to be a member of the party and can no longer continue as the Caretaker Chairman of APC in Yola South Local Government of Adamawa State. 

Adamu Allegedly Made The Statement Through A Leaked Audio Record

According to the report, the APC chieftain made the statement through a leaked audio record that went viral.

His expulsion was approved by the leadership of the party during its meeting in Abuja on Wednesday. 

He Was Found Guilty Of Bringing The Image Of APC To Disrepute

The Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention of the party said the action of Adamu has brought disrepute to the image of the ruling All Progressives Congress and thereby expelled him from the party.
