OPINION: One Wrong Statement Made By Tunde Bakare After His Visit To Buhari

Few days ago, it was reported that pastor Tunde Bakere, the founder of Citadel Global community church, formerly known as latter Rain Assembly, paid a visit to president Muhammadu Buhari on the presidential villa in Aso rock. After the visit despite the fact that he didn't reveal the agenda of his visit to the president, he released a series of statements, where he made known his political ambitions, saying that he would contest for the 2023 presidential election if God and Nigerians ask him to. However, there is a mistake made by him that could thwart his political ambitions.1. Speaking against the calls for power rotation in the country.

In his statement after his visit to the president, he challenged the plans for the rotation of power, describing it as political immaturity. This statement by him could affect and thwart his political ambitions. The rotation of power is one that ensures equity in the country. It ensures that one section of the country is not left out. It helps to avoid the concentration of power in just one section of the country.Speaking against this initiative, could make him loose the people's interest and mandate. As a figure that aspires for a political office, making such statement is least expected from him.OPINION BY GRANTENZY.
