Very recently, the Eastern Security Network(ESN) claimed to have taken charge of some of the forests in Igbo land and verified news reports have it that they(ESN) exchanged fire with men of the Nigerian Army and even set ablaze properties of Fulani herdsmen in Abia State.
Sadly, many Igbo people seem to be ignorantly in support of their activities and this should be an issue of concern to any patriotic Nigerian and that is why this article should be carefully read.
Here are 3 things many Igbo people may not know about the Eastern Security Network(ESN):
1. The Presence Of Eastern Security Network May Pose A Threat To Democracy In Eastern Nigeria:
It is really disturbing to note that the men of the ESN, own firearms and as such can become coercive, if need be. The Eastern Security Network (ESN) clearly has it's own aims and objectives, outside the thoughts of the Federal Government of Nigeria, hence, I fear that they may someday, make use of arms to force Igbos(patriotic Eastern Nigerians) to obey them.
2. The Unconstitutional Nature Of The Eastern Security Network (ESN):
The Federal Government of Nigeria, clearly does not support the creation of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and it has demonstrated that both in word and in action, as the Nigerian Army has carried out an operation in Orlu(Imo State), all in a bid to stop their(ESN) activities.
3. Individuals Caught Funding The Eastern Security Network (ESN) Would Be Dealt With, In Accordance With The Nigerian Law:
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of the proscribed IPOB and also the brain behind the ESN. It is important to note that the government of Nigeria, frowns at the unpatriotic actions of the ESN and Nnamdi Kanu, hence, the Federal Government would make sure that the full wrath of the law, falls on any Nigerian caught giving financial or social media support to the ESN.
Dear Nigerians, what is your take on this delicate issue national concern?
