Joy Nunieh, a former managing director at the NDDC has spoken about the alleged corruption at the commission.

The former managing director said she was told to give out the sum of N10 billion for Christmas palliatives in 2019.

Nunieh stated that she refused to make the payment despite the pressure mounted on her.

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted victory for the Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Rotimi Akeredolu, in the primaries of the All Progressives Congress for its governorship aspirants, slated for July, 20,2020. The man of God said this in a telephone interview with newsmen. Ayodele said Akeredolu will become victorious in the primary election because he has taken steps that will lead him to victory.

 The Federal High Court, Katsina, Katsina state, Nigeria, has sentenced twelve out of forty-two Nigerians arrested and sent to court for conviction for illegal entry into Niger Republic enroute Europe. Justice Hadiza Shagari while ruling in the judgment said the accused should either pay #50,OOO fine or be remanded in prison for three months. The National public relations officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, James Sunday, in a news release, remarked that the Katsina state Command received the repatriation of Forty-two(42) Nigerians for illegal entry into Niger Republic and subsequently repatriated to Nigeria through Kongolam Control post. 

AT LEAST N2 billion has been recovered by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related offenses Commission (ICPC), Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, from tracking constituency projects across Nigeria. The ICPC disclosed this on Wednesday during a radio program, Public Conscience hosted by the Progressive Impact Organization for Community Development (PRIMORG).
