The plight of an Igbo comedienne, Mmesoma Obi has become the subject of discussion among many Nigerians. It became much of a concern because Ada Jesus, like she is popularly called, was fond of hurling insults at people in the society and many thinks that she is suffering from the repercussion. It seems she needs medical attention and needs help from the general public.
Few days ago, popular businessman and philanthropist, Marksman Chinedu, who is the founder of Marksman group promised to assist Ada Jesus, by paying for her medical expenses. This made Nigerians to praise him a lot. He has proven that he should be held by his words, as he took to his official Facebook handle to share a good news.
He revealed that he has sent the sum of N2 million (for a start) to a man, who will be in charge of Ada Jesus' medical expenses. He urged the family to liaise with the man, to ensure that Ada Jesus is well again. He further added that he will continue to pray for Ada Jesus' speedy recovery.
He said "My stand in life is that no matter what may has happened and no matter what it may look like, humanity must come first. The ChinmarkFoundation has played her part as promised and transferred the starting sum of Two million Naira to Mr Harrison Gwahiamu, who is in charge of the process to ensure that the young lady "Ada Jesus" gets the required medical attention and fasten her recovery. The family can liaise with Mr Harrison on the process, while we join them in prayers for her swift recovery".
This businessman is one that is well known for his philanthropic activities, touching the lives of many and still is humble to acknowledge that God is the giver of all. See some of his photos.
What do you make of this act of philanthropism?
