Yerima has indeed proven to be one of the best Governors of Zamfara State through his numerous achievements in the state even after a decade he left office.
Born, Ahmed Rufai Sani Yerima, on July 22, 1960, he became the executive Governor of Zamfara State on May 29, 1999 and left office on May 29, 2007.
One of the landmark achievements set by Yerima as a former Governor of Zamfara State was the fact that he ruled the State with Sharia law. The sharia came into force on January 27, 2000 which he used to govern the state.
Before he left office in 2000, Yerima was able to leave legacy projects in the state for the incoming governors to develop and left Zamfara State as a refined state.
Sani Yerima went on to contest for Senate and became the Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria between June 2007 to June 2019 where he represented Zamfara West Senatorial district.
Yerima got married to the beautiful Egyptian lady in 2013 and once disclosed in an interview that his Egyptian wife returned to school after they got married in 2013.
The former Governor of Zamfara State and his Egyptian wife are already blessed with a beautiful baby girl who has a striking resemblance with the Egyptian wife of Yerima.
