The governor of Ondo, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, described Engr. Gboye Adegbenro FNSE as an exemplary politician. The Governor made this remark during a dinner party at the Bliss World Hotel as part of a new administration event, tagged: Aketi Inauguration Golf Tournament.
Gboye was the runner-in-council of the ZLP governorship candidate in the October 10 poll, followed by the deputy of Akeredolu, Agboola Ajayi, who was third in the election. Gboye also served as Commissioner for Works under the administration of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, the immediate past governor.
This is the attribute of a good sportsman, and I believe he copied it from being a golfer. Therefore, I advised everyone here to be golfers," Akeredolu said. Engr. Gboye Adegbenro is currently Captain of Smokin Hill Golf Course in Ilara Mokin.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Gbenga Ale, former Chairman of the Nigerian Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeleye, Chairman of the Aketi Inauguration Golf Tournament, Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade Rtd, and many prominent Nigerians.
