While talking with the media, Doctor Law Mefor, A Nigerian Political Analyst talked about the presidential court case going on in the tribunal and also the upcoming inauguration of Bola Tinubu in May 29.
Law Mefor said that at some point after the election, INEC was getting involved in the petitions filed against Tinubu in the tribunal, INEC was reacting to some of these things even after they were done carrying out their job and announcing Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election. Remember that INEC also said that the petitions that Peter Obi filed against Tinubu is irrelevant and void.
So Law Mefor said "The INEC is reacting to this because the court hadn't called INEC to prove how Tinubu won the presidential election, if the court had called INEC to come to court and prove how Tinubu won the election, things would have been different."
"So the court believes that the INEC have done their part, and they carried it out perfectly, so there's no reason to call them to prove anything in court. It is left for the court to correct their mistakes, if there's any. If the court had called the INEC to prove how Tinubu won the election, there's no way INEC would interfere in the petitions filed against Bola Tinubu". Dr Law Mefor said.
