Gani Adams Supported The Anti-Open Grazing Bill In S/West By Choosing Lives Over Livestock

According to a report from Sahara Reporters, Gani Adams has slammed the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) for claiming that the anti-open grazing law being approved in Southern states will raise cow prices. According to MACBAN, the anti-open grazing regulation might cost as much as N2 million for a cow.

Adams, on the other hand, claims that if the price of a cow rises to N2 million, the people of Southern Nigeria, particularly the Yoruba in the South-West, will begin eating fish and other alternatives to beef. He emphasized that the North cannot frighten the people of the South with the price of cattle.

To put an end to the murdering of farmers and damage of farmlands in the region, the 17 governors in the southern region set September 1, 2021, as the deadline for enacting legislation

Following the governors' resolution, the majority of states sent the measures to their respective legislatures. On Wednesday, Adams praised the Southern governors for prohibiting open grazing in the region and for legally supporting the measure.

He felt countries are moving toward creating a secure environment for their people, and in a situation where a profession within agriculture is causing problems, creating insecurity for us in every region, the governors of the South have the right to decide how to protect their citizens' lives and property.

If they said cows would cost N2 million, if that is too expensive, we can subscribe to eating fish and all other eatable content that we can use to balance our meals because our lives are very important. If you are lifeless, you can't eat a cow; if you're in an unsafe environment, you can't eat a cow.

Gani Adam's statement clearly shows he acknowledged life to be paramount to any other thing existing on earth. He had to speak out in support of the open grazing ban which he feels would help reduce security challenges in the state.
