The unexpected defection of Nigeria's former Minister for Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani Kayode, from the People's Democratic Party PDP to the ruling party, All Progressive Congress APC, has continued to gather reactions from notable Nigerians and top political actors.

One of such notable Nigerians that have continued to make their opinions about Femi Fani Kayode's defection to APC, is Mr. Joe Igbokwe. Below are two instances where he(Igbokwe) criticized Femi Fani Kayode's defection to APC.
In a recent Facebook post, Mr. Joe Igbokwe who happens to be an APC spokesperson in Lagos State stated that APC deliberately inflicted maximum shame and pains on die-hard APC heroes and foot soldiers across Nigeria, by admitting the Political prostitute and apostate, Femi Fani Kayode into its fold.

Recall also that on the eve of Femi Fani Kayode's defection to APC, Joe Igbokwe stated in a series of Facebook posts, that Despite all his push for APC, Abuja has not given him a phone call or invited him for a coffee, but here is a political charlatan and prostitute being given a red carpet in the seat of power, Abuja.
Haven given these instances, I think that Joe Igbokwe should stop his criticisms of Femi Kayode for 2 reasons which are:
1. Femi Fani Kayode's defection to APC is not illegal, but part of a political exercise known as Carpet crossing. A lot of politicians in Nigeria were members of other political parties before joining the All Progressive Congress. Femi Fani Kayode is therefore not the first man to defect, and will not be the last, especially with the 2023 presidential elections drawing near.

2. Another reason why Joe Igbokwe should welcome Femi Fani Kayode into APC as a colleague, is because the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who happens to be the highest-ranking officer in the All Progressive Congress, has opened up his arms to welcome Femi Fani Kayode into APC.
It is therefore out of respect for Buhari, that Joe Igbokwe should stop criticizing Femi Fani Kayode openly.
