The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has reveal a trending and misleading fraudulent npower site.
Sadiya Umar Farouq, The Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, few hours ago call the attention of Nigerians to a fake npower site and also, warned Nigerians against information not emanating from the official handles of the Ministry.
Months after about Five million Nigerians registered for the Npower Batch C Programme, the Ministry has remained mute over the process. The Batch C Volunteers are yet to receive email confirmation of their application and a notification for the next stage from the ministry. Alleged fraudster (s) took advantage of the Ministry’s silence by creating a fake site accredited to NPOWERNG, with the address : https://npower-fmhds-gov.ng.web.app.
The notification from the Honourable Minister came a bit late as, some prospectus Batch C volunteers had already fallen victims by giving out their details on the said fraudulent Npower site.
Although, the fake site contains an alleged names of shortlisted applicants, the intent of it creation isn’t visible yet. Due to this recent development, prospectus Batch C Volunteers have expressed concern about the security of their personal data with the Ministry. Here, are some views
