Last weekend, the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs and former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio landed in the oil city of the Nigerian south south region Akwa Ibom state to attend the funeral of late sociocultural Icon, Dr. Uko Akpan at Afaha Obong Abak LGA.
The reception that the Honorable Minister received from the entire Akwa Ibom indigenes who attended the funeral ceremony was overwhelming. He was celebrated and praised for his good works during his days as the state governor.
After the event, Senator Godswill had to use the free weekend he had to meet up with other activities he couldn't meet up with while performing his constitutional duty at the capital territory.

APC MEMBERSHIP REVALIDATION.
The Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio and wife, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Godswill Akpabio, were at the Independence High School, Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State for the APC membership revalidation exercise. The State Chairman of the APC, Dr Ita Udosen among other members of the State Executive Council of the party were in attendance as they witnessed the exercise.
AKWA IBOM DEMOCRATIC FORUM (ADF)
The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Interim Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Barrister Effiong Akwa among other personalities were at the inauguration of Akwa Ibom Democratic Forum ( ADF ), a rich collection of active and vibrant politicians who have pitched camp with Senator Godswill Akpabio with an intent to consistently stand with him as a bulwark of support as well as provide for the uncommon Leader unflinching loyalty. The group's motto being "dependable leadership" believes that people that want to go far must have a leader.

There was also a condolence visit by the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio to the family of the late former Chairman of the NDDC, Ambassador Sam Edem over the demise of the Ambassador and his wife, Dr Mrs Sam Edem in Uyo on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
