Nigeria is facing lots of security challenges, many people are being killed almost everyday. Yesterday, the former Governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Tinubu celebrated his birthday and while he was speaking in Kano State at the 12th colloquium to celebrate his birthday, he adviced the federal government of Nigeria 9n how to tackle the issue of insecurity in the country.
He said that Nigeria has about 33% of unemployed people who are mostly youths. He urged the government to give the youths jobs by recruiting about 50 million of them into the nation's army in order to help the country deal with terrorism. He further stating that taking the step would boost Nigeria’s fight against terrorism, and insecurity.
Everyone knows that this advice is a good one in tackling the security issue in the country but let's take a look at the total number of the active milatary in the world, active to the globalfirepower.com, the total number of active military in the world is over 20 million.
They ranked the countries from the highest to the lowest. China has the highest with number of 2,185,000 while Libya has the lowest 2,200.
