In a post on social media, Facebook to be precise, the former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, six years down the line since he left the presidency, Reno Omokri, placing the incumbent Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, side by side with him, juxtaposed between the duo on various economic levels.
According to Reno's Facebook post, unemployment under Jonathan was 8.2%, under President Muhammadu Buhari, it is at 33.3%; inflation under Jonathan-9.7%, under Buhari-17.33%; total debt under Jonathan-₦12 trillion, under Buhari-₦32.9 trillion; exchange rate under Jonathan-₦199 to $1, under Buhari-₦485 to $1; Lagos-Abuja air-fare under Jonathan-₦10,000, under Buhari-₦45,000; fuel price under Jonathan-₦87 per litre, under Buhari-₦210 per litre; and 50kg bag of rice under Jonathan-₦8000, under Buhari-₦24,000.
Having extensively juxtaposed between the duo Nigerian presidents, Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari, Reno Omokri quoted the ex-president, who said, "I am the most abused and insulted president in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total ‘freedom’ you enjoyed under my government."
