The honourable minister of Humanitarian Affairs, disaster and social development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has informed every Nigerians benefitting from federal government conditional cash transfer not to receive below ₦30,000 as grants from government officials.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that, the minister spoke during a press briefing in Gusau, Zamfara State, that, Nigerians benefitting from Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) must not collect less than N30,000 as grant.
The minister added that, the administration of president Muhammadu Buhari is aimed at assisting the vulnerable and the unemployed Nigerians.
Sadiya Farouq restated that, if any of the officials paid you anything short of ₦30,000 don't accept it. Report such official to me or your state Governor through the available telephone numbers.
The move by the minister is to ensure transparency in the programme. Beneficiary must be very happy with this new information because they will not be cheated by any government officials.
