The embattled Deputy governor of Ondo state, Hon. Agboola Ajayi has told Governor Akeredolu to blame himself for his misfortunes rather than embarking on game blames while trying to cover up his failures.
Hon. Ajayi who left the All Progressive Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was last week described by the Governor as an error when he picked him as his running mate during the 2016 gubernatorial elections. Governor Akeredolu said he regretted ever considering his cousin for the position.
But in a swift reaction, the Deputy through his chief Press secretary Mr. Babatunde Okeowo accused the Governor of frustration over his inability to impeach him.
" we are aware of the frustration of Arakunrin Akeredolu over his inability to use the instrument of the House of Assembly for his selfish purpose. We therefore understand his pains and the numerous excuses he is making for his failures "
The statement further accused the Governor of embezzling state funds for personal use. He maintained that contrary to the governors claims, Agboola was the brain behind the party's success in 2016, and it is therefore a misplacement of priority for the Governor to start a blame game when it is clear that he is already rejected by the people of ondo state.
Agboola advised Akeredolu to look inwards instead of blaming others for his misfortunes as it is Ondo people who are rather regretting of having him as their Governor.
This is coming as the battle between the Governor and his Deputy continues even as both are heading into their respective Primaries.
