After the earlier scare witnessed by the committee set up to probe Pondei, the Speaker of the house of representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has revealed that the acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Kemebradikumo Pondei, will no longer appear before the committee set-up to probe him and NDDC.
Pondei had earlier collapsed while being queried about the spending of the NDDC since he took over. House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, summoned Pondei and Akpabio to hear their own side of the story regarding alledged mismanagement of funds. As Pondei was being questioned, he suddenly slumped and went into some kind of seizure. The incident lasted for about 4 minutes, before Pondei was rushed out of the venue.
Following what happened to Pondei, the Speaker of the House of Representative, Femi Gbajabimilla have stated that Pondei will no longer appear before the committee anymore. Gbajabiamila went on to apologize to everyone present at the probing for the way everything turned out. He went on to state that Pondei doesn't need to come back to the panel because of his health condition. Gbajabiamila went on to say that the committee can make use of the documents already submitted by Pondei.
