The House of Representatives Member representing Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber in the 9th National Assembly, Hon. (Engr.) Joseph Asuku Bello, has delegated some of his Aides to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late APC woman leader in his constituency in Obeiba Ward of Okehi LGA, Mrs. Hassanat Salaudeen, who passed on recently, after a brief illness.
The Honorable member who expressed sadness over the sudden death of the APC Woman Leader said; “I was shocked to receive the ugly news of the death of our beloved sister and woman leader, who dedicated her time and resources toward the progress of her party APC, as well as for community development, but however, who are we to question God. He alone, gives lives and takes it whenever He wishes”.
The Director of the Constituency Office, Alhaji Saka who spoke on behalf of other members of the team, conveyed the heartfelt condolence message of Hon. Asuku Bello to the children and family of the Late Mrs. Hassanat Salaudeen, remarking that
they were there on behalf of ‘our boss who happens to represent the people of Adavi/ Okehi at the National Assembly, to pay a condolence visit to the family and to also on his instructions, ask of the well-being of the children, that she left behind’.
Late Mrs. Hassanat had six children, two boys and four girls, to whom she had been the breadwinner, immediately after the departure of her beloved husband since 2003.
The late women leader, having strived to train some of the children to college-level before her demise, the children said they are now left with no hope as their late mother who was the only person they had is no more. They further complained that, the house rent of the two rooms they occupied has expired some months ago and they have no money to renew it.
With the feedback from the visit, Hon. Asuku Bello has promptly released some money to the Late Mrs. Salaudeen’s family to renew their home rent, and meet some other immediate needs, while promising to continually support the children in whichever way he could, especially in the area of education and employment.
According to Hon. (Engr.) Joseph Asuku Bello; “I will include two of you people’s name in my Education Annual Scholarship Programe till you graduate from University, empower any of you, and secure employment to whoever among you that is willing to work whenever the opportunity comes”, he promised.
