The Ezeani II of Mmaku Kingdom in Enugu, Maduabuchi Nevobasi, a prominent Igbo Monarch has praised President Buhari for the 'many good things he has done' in the Southeast. He has also assured the president that he will always have the support of Igbos. On his visit to Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity in Abuja, the monarch stated that Buhari will always be welcome in their region for the many things he has done for the Igbos.
He described the Nigerian Civil War as a 'war of unity' and praised Buhari as someone who fought for Nigeria's unity. According to him, Buhari has done many things in the Southeast which includes the River Niger Bridge and the new runway of the Enugu international Airport.
He also thanked the president for the work done on the Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway, Onitsha-Enugu road and other federal works.
The Monarch who gave President Buhari the title of Isimmri 1 of Mmaku (Main Source of Water) in 2018 hailed the president's effort in fighting corruption in the country. He also thanked Femi Adesina and prayed that God would protect and reward him for his love and dedication.
Speaking on the present situation of the country in which bandits, terrorists and Unknown Gunmen have continued to threaten the lives of Nigerians, the Monarch urged the president not to relent on his efforts towards keeping the country in Unity.
He stated that despite the current situation of things in the country 'the good work continues' and Igbos would always continue to support the president.
